Nederantansie scenes 5: Final Confrontation

This scene portrays the final battle during the great apocalyptic event known as the "God's Splitting".

Story short:
In the year of 14 AGS, the 14th year long war finally came to an end by the death of the greater Demonlord named: Solbaid Bloodletter. Slain by the hand of Herman von Marenburg, the Grandmaster of the knight's Order of Light and Justice.

While the armies of cultists continues to dwindle, Solbaid was currently at the top of the largest tower in the Veranorian city of Eriad. Herman von Marenburg marched with his army towards Eriad and besieged it. Herman demanded a duel against Solbaid. Solbaid allowed it, thinking he would be an easy target.

Herman entered trough the gates of Eriad and slowly walked to the great tower, cultists, hell-knights, dark elves and demons alike stepped out of his path, but were mocking him in the meantime, that he will never defeat their chosen of the Dark Gods. With a stoic face, he climbed the tower and Solbaid awaits him.

While Herman's army of humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes and even trolls fought against solbaid's army, Herman was facin against Solbaid in single combat, which was fierce, bloody and full of fury. Herman finally managed to kill the greater Demonlord, but was mortally wounded in the proces. After Solbaid's wicked soul was banished back to hell, the other demons in his army lost their will to remain in the mortal realm and were quickly banished afterwards and the cultists, dark elves and hell-Knights fled to every direction possible while they were hunted down by the remaining combined forces of mortals.

Herman's sacrifice will never be forgotten, because thanks to him, the decayed lands will heal back to normal again and the followers of the Dark Gods had never set a foothold on the surface again. His helmet is even on display in the Great Monastary of his order in Nirra.

But is Solbaid really dead? That remains a mystery, because demons can't be killed for real in the mortal realm. Only banished for a large amount of time. So maybe he will be summoned back to the mortal realm, but when that time comes, the mortals will be ready for him.
